Rotarians refurbished a Learning Center for homeless children living at a shelter in Uptown Pittsburgh; in addition, they provided support for special events and provided needed supplies and equipment.

Walk on by Art Show – we assisted visitors in making paper houses to display in a gallery downtown

Hope Through Creativity – we volunteered at the event by handing out fliers and snacks (in a soup kitchen like set up) as visitor made their way to a performance hall where student around the city shared their talent in artwork and performing art. During this event homeless children also gave testimony to their experience and other students shared facts about homeless children in Pittsburgh.

Stand Up for Homeless Children – living art display of volunteers stood for 15 minutes in silence to bring awareness to the fact there are over 3000 homeless children in Pittsburgh (photos will be sent in next email)

Hands On! -Volunteers replaced flooring for the playroom at one homeless shelter. (very old carpet with water damage was replaced with wood look sheet vinyl)
